There were a series of Greek mercenaries on the Persian side, he had read 300 and didn't think much of the way Miller had portrayed the story.<br /><br />I'll probably go see it just for the visuals but it's unfortunate that Miller holds such a racist view of the ME. A much better book than 300 is Gates of Fire: An Epic Novel of the Battle of Thermopylae
