Thanks for making the time and taking the trouble to come and cover our event. As you know, it is not easy organizing events when all you have is volunteer resources and no budget. Those volunteers would have to be truly dedicated in order for an event to be pulled together successfully. For a first experience, where we did our best to put a group of interesting and devoted people together, I think we did pretty well. I hope you enjoyed your day, and that we would get together again, either in cyberspace or in person, soon. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before you left to wish you a safe journey home.
